As a qualified structural engineer and building surveyor and a registered Private Certifier Andrew provides a unique resource to a project team.
On graduation as a Civil Engineer he practised as a structural design engineer for over 9 years. Following further post graduate studies Andrew moved into Building Surveying initially undertaking structural certification and then developing skills in all areas of building regulation including fire safety, disability access and energy efficiency.
Brett has worked within the construction industry for over 25 years since first commencing work in Local Government as a Building Surveyor in the South East of South Australia.
Having also been involved in a number of consultancies in Country and Metro SA areas and also interstate, he has obtained a high level of BCA experience including specialising in the areas of Disability Access and Energy Efficiency.
Senior Building Surveyor
Leah has been working in the construction industry for nearly 15 years. Graduating from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Architecture she followed with further studies in Building and Planning.
Leah is a Senior Building Surveyor at BuildSurv and brings legislative knowledge to the team from working in State Government where she was actively involved in developing the States statutory Building Rules and Development Act and Regulations.
Her assessment expertise and skills stem from involvement in a myriad of projects in Building Rules assessment and Building Code consultancy. Her project experience covers aged care, health, retail, industrial, mining, education and domestic construction with specialised knowledge in energy efficiency. She has also worked on many State and National rollouts of retail refurbishments and fit outs.
Her main objective in the assessment and Certification process is to provide consistent and timely service to clients to facilitate and streamline the Development Approval process.
Assistant Building Surveyor
Heang’s first exposure to the building surveying industry was through local government as a graduate and continued working in local government for 5 years before moving into the private certification. She has gained extensive legislative knowledge of the statutory requirements, local government process, Development Act and Regulations.
She has been involved and provided assistance in Building Rules assessment and consultancy for varied projects including residential, commercial, aged care, defence and educational facilities. She has a strong understanding of residential construction including bushfire protection and swimming pool safety.
Her objective is to assist clients with their regulatory and certification requirements, manage projects compliance requirements and ensure each project is delivered efficiently.
With excellent organisational and administration skills, Vicki is the 'hub' of the business providing support for the team and is generally the first point of contact for BuildSurv.
